This is my first tattoo, it took 4 sessions, about 8 or 9 hours altogether. There is no symbolic meaning, i guess im just into demonic things. I think its a dope ass image lol. The tat was done by Kevin Hewitt, great tattoo artist, and really cool guy. His portfolio with not all but over 200 of his tattoos is shown on the link below. The first of my feet tattoos. Each tattoo will represent one of my parents, and then they’ll both be ‘walking with me’ wherever I go. This tattoo is for my dad. We starting boating when I was eleven or twelve, and it’s something I quickly fell in love with. Hence, the anchor. Behind the anchor is a daisy. When I was little, I had a daisy dress and would wear it and say that daisies are my daddy’s favorite, so they were my favorite. I found out recently that daisies were actually his favorite, because I was (for some unknown reason) convinced they were his lol the tattoo is on my left foot, as he’s a lefty, while my mom is a righty.
A pair of swallows. A letter-bringer, a correspondence, a winged compass to lead the sailors home. Swallows are seabirds (their cousins— the sparrows, brown and not blue, are of land), and the line between flying and floating is traversed. This is a movement to move. I am a great migration within myself.
